Contemporary Art - master

The programme Master in Contemporary Art is a two-year course that aims to give the students a unique footing for their future advancement in research, theory and professional artistic practice. The programme is aimed at emerging artists who seek to deepen their practice in a critical and discursive context where they are encouraged to develop their own initiatives. To contribute to this the programme provides a balanced insight between local and international issues of importance to contemporary society.

Formal prerequisites Admission to the Master's programme in Contemporary Art requires:

Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) in fine arts or equivalent education at university or university college level

Accepted portfolio - Requirements for portfolio:

- Written reflections in English on the submitted work samples (maximum of two pages)
- Written description in English about artistic direction and focus (maximum of one page)

Admission will be determined by an overall assessment of the applicant's qualifications, the quality of previous artistic work demonstrated by submitted portfolio and an interview.
