Programme description This master programme is a co-operation between Oslo University College and the University of Oslo, and is run by both institutions.

Network and System administration is about putting together a networked system of computers, software (workstations, PC's and supercomputers), getting them running and then keeping them running in spite of the activities of users who tend to cause the parts of the system to fail. The aim of this program is to teach the theory, principles and practice of system management, including network and system design, analysis, efficiency and security. The course places emphasis on practical skills based on Unix, Windows and Macintosh platforms but teaches general principles along with their technical and ethical foundations.
