Bachelor's Programme in English

English is the dominant language in the world today. With a bachelor's degree in English you will be prepared for the job market, no matter what you wish to do or where you find yourself in the world.

English is one of the most widely used languages in the world today, playing a key role in global communication, culture, and education. These skills will enhance your ability to collaborate across borders and give you a strong foundation for a wide range of career paths in an international setting.

The high level of English proficiency in Norway is reflected in the excellence of the teaching, which is partly in the hands of professors who are English native speakers and experts in their respective fields.

The first year gives you a broad introduction to the language and literature, as well as the cultural history of Great Britain and the USA.

During the second semester we normally organise a study trip to York, UK.

In the second year you will choose courses that will supplement your English studies. You may choose courses in a variety of fields. We offer courses in Norwegian for international students on different levels, as well as a course in Norwegian Society and Culture.
