Globalisation and Sustainable Development - Master's Programme

The international interdisciplinary Master's in Global Relations and Sustainable Development examines the complex interplay of political, economic, environmental, cultural, and social aspects of societal change within a rapidly shifting global landscape.

Key themes include global inequality, climate and environmental change, energy transitions, cultural shifts, global markets and technologies, migration, and conflicts and disaster response. Drawing on diverse geographical research, these topics are examined through global relations and justice lenses, emphasizing their sustainable development implications across scales and localities.

The programme combines cross-disciplinary education and research methods, equipping students with empirical insights, analytical tools, and practical skills to assess and develop policies for local, national, and global development. Students will collaborate with peers from around the world and have the opportunity to undertake internships with globally oriented organisations.
