Hydrogen Systems and Enabling Technologies - Master's Programme
Interested in learning about hydrogen technology and systems? Become part of the first master’s program in Europe that covers the entire hydrogen value chain. Hydrogen Systems and Enabling Technologies (HySET) is a 2-year master’s program offered in collaboration with five universities and five hydrogen companies in Europe. You will spend at least one semester at two partner universities. The effects of the climate crisis are becoming increasingly apparent. At the same time, popular commitment contributes to countries around the world setting more ambitious climate goals. Hydrogen can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create new industries, and provide jobs. The rapid development of hydrogen value chains in Europe is expected to create approximately 1 million jobs by 2030. Companies in the hydrogen sector will have a significant demand for workers with expertise in hydrogen. Green hydrogen, produced through electrolysis using power from renewable energy sources such as offshore wind farms or solar power plants, is particularly promising. It can serve as the crucial element to decarbonize sectors that are difficult to reduce emissions from. The EU has encouraged a clean hydrogen economy by 2030. It is also expected that hydrogen will become part of the energy mix to achieve the goal of becoming a low-emission society by 2050.
