Industrial Ecology - Master's Programme

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Our master’s program in industrial ecology combines data science and systems thinking for a sustainable future.

The MSc in Industrial Ecology is an international study program and welcomes applicants with study background from Europe and globally, as well as Norway and Nordic countries.

You will learn analytical tools relevant for today’s society, and how to apply these to biodiversity, energy and climate, waste and resources, circular economy, and sustainable consumption.

The program is international and interdisciplinary, with industrial ecology as the key component. You will conduct hands-on learning through active research and work on real-world projects with concrete sustainability challenges. Research emphasis gives a strong foundation for further PhD studies.

Courses cover analytical tools in industry and policymakers to critically evaluate products, value chains and international trade. You will extend your skills through your thesis year, by actively using them in research towards:

• Ecosystems and Bioresources

• Energy, Transport and Buildings

• Circular Economy and Resources

• Sustainable Production and Consumption
