BI Norwegian Business School, East Norway

Master of Business - Major in Logistics, Operations, and Supply Chain Management

Logistics, operations, and supply chain management are about securing effective, efficient and sustainable flows of materials, goods and services from suppliers to consumers. In this major, you learn to take a holistic, cross-functional view across sourcing, planning, production, and distribution. You combine conceptual management thinking with analytical tools and technology to plan, improve, and steer global supply and value chains, with a strong emphasis on circularity, risk, and resilience.

You will learn to:

  • take a strategic, conceptual and analytic supply chain and operations management perspective
  • model material and information flows, manage processes, plan batches, integrate systems, forecast demand, and manage stock to align supply with demand
  • use data and programming tools to analyse, solve, and implement real-world problems
  • distinguish between analysis at the company, supply-chain, and network levels, and design networks for transport and distribution
  • develop procurement and sourcing strategies that balance cost, risk, and value; build strong supplier relationships
  • design circular supply chains and assess triple bottom line performance (economic, environmental, social)
  • identify risks and build resilience in local and global supply chains
