BI Norwegian Business School, East Norway

Master of Business - Major in Marketing

This major connects marketing tightly to economics and decision-making. You learn to understand customers and markets, and to turn insight into choices on product, price, communication and channels that create profitable growth. Teaching is research-based and practical: you work with real cases, use qualitative and quantitative methods, run tests, and focus on the metrics that actually show impact.

You will learn to:

  • analyse customers and markets with qualitative and quantitative methods and interpret findings correctly
  • turn insight into strategy: segmentation, target groups, positioning and a clear value proposition and go-to-market plan
  • set prices and offers that protect margins and grow long-term customer value
  • plan and improve customer journeys and digital activity across channels using measurement and experimentation
  • show marketing’s effect on revenue and profitability and communicate clear recommendations across marketing, finance, sales and product, while making responsible choices on ethics, privacy and sustainability
