Master's programme in Dance
The Master’s Programme in Dance is a two-year, full-time programme that builds on a performance-based Bachelor’s degree in dance or an equivalent qualification. It is a postgraduate specialist programme intended for students who wish to work as independent dance artists at an international level. The programme aims to strengthen and stimulate students’ artistic identity as performing and creative dance artists, enhancing their performative articulation and reflective practice in both individual and collaborative projects.
The programme offers perspectives that explore dance as a cultural expression within aesthetic, historical, political, ethical, and social contexts, and examines how art theory interacts with artistic practice, and vice versa.
The Master’s Programme qualifies students to work nationally and internationally, either as independent dancers or within established dance companies, as well as in other artistic and societal contexts.
The programme comprises 120 ECTS credits and qualifies students for admission to the PhD in Artistic Research and other relevant doctoral programmes.
