Music Business Management

Dreaming of working with music? At Music Business Management, you can specialize in an area of the music industry that interests you and gain the competence to work with music in the Nordic region and internationally.

What do you learn?

Music Business Management is a two-year vocational education for those who want to learn about the Nordic and international music industry.
In the first year, you will be introduced to everything from record companies, music publishers, and management to marketing, PR, and content production. You will also learn about legal contracts and agreements, touring, and event planning. This allows you to test different parts of the music industry. In the second year, you will choose a professional function to specialize in.

You can choose between the following specializations:

  • Record companies
  • Management
  • Marketing, PR, and content production
  • Live and events

With reference to the specialization you choose, you will work in one of the four departments that together make up the school’s professional record label, 16 Roses Recordings. The class runs the record company together, and you will collaborate with students who have chosen the same specialization. You will develop the record company’s profile and guidelines, sign artists, plan launch activities, and promote the artists you choose to work with.

Experienced professionals from the music industry serve as mentors and guide you through your studies. Music Business Management teaches you everything you need to establish yourself in the music industry.
