Waves Acoustics Vibrations Engineering and Sound Plus - Master's Programme

Are you fascinated by sound, vibrations and waves, and would you like to study in several European countries? WAVES+ is an Erasmus Mundus master's programme in acoustics offered jointly by four universities: Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal), Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain), Aix-Marseille Université (France) and NTNU in Trondheim, Norway.

You spend your first semester in Portugal and your second in Spain. For your second year, you choose between France and Norway. Along the way, you build a solid foundation in acoustics, vibration and wave physics, from theory, signal processing and modelling to laboratory measurements.

At NTNU, you become part of a research community with long experience in acoustics. You get access to specialised laboratories, including an anechoic chamber (probably the quietest room on campus) and reverberation chambers. Here you can specialise in marine acoustics, acoustic signal processing or acoustics in the built environment.

You graduate with master's degrees from the universities where you studied and an international network, a strong foundation for exciting careers in industry, consultancy and research. The best-qualified applicants can receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

Would you rather do your whole master's degree in Trondheim? Then take a look at NTNU's international master's programme in Sound and Vibration, which offers the same specialisations.
